Write your own wedding invitation!!!

Your wedding is a unique event and your wedding invitation also has to be original. It should not be a pre-written card available with printers. While writing your invitation, you have to take into consideration the guests and the ceremony for which you are inviting them. Here are the simple steps on writing your wedding invitation:

Wording your own wedding invitations can be brain racking if you are looking at the other preparations of the wedding. Your invitation could be formal, informal, traditional or modern; depending on the type of the wedding you have planned.

The type of invitation will depend on who is announcing the wedding. Decide on who is inviting the guests to the wedding before you start writing the invitation.
Also decide if the invitation in formal or informal, that is if you want to say: ‘Mr. and Mrs. Jake Smith request the honor of your presence’ or you want to use a more casual or informal tone like; ‘please join us’.
The words depend on the venue of the ceremony as well. Like if your ceremony is being held in a place of worship, than use more of a formal tone.

When you want to write a traditional invitation, write the bride’s name with her first and middle name after her parent’s names. For example ‘Mr. and Mrs. Jake Orange request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter, Bella.’
The bride’s name will be followed by the groom’s full name; ‘to Edward Cullen.’ It is your choice to write the groom’s parents names after the groom’s name.
Remember to mention the date, time and venue of the ceremony in the end. The format goes as; day, date and month, year.
The time of the ceremony goes next.

After the date and time of the ceremony, write the full address and name of the venue the ceremony is being held at.
It is also a good idea to enclose a map and a stamped respond card with the invitation.
